Prepare: what this week is for

Welcome to the course. Over four weeks you will work with eleven ideas from my blog, each turned into a short sequence of lessons. This week asks two simple questions about the course you are building: what shape should each week take, and what is your technology actually doing for learning?

The course follows PANDA itself. Every week opens with a short Prepare lesson like this one, then Activate, Navigate, Demonstrate and Articulate, always in that order. You will see the pattern at work as a learner before you decide whether to use it as a designer.

What to do this week

1. Activate (about 10 minutes): think about how one of your own weeks opens.
2. Navigate (about 50 minutes across three lessons): three structures for a week, how to choose and migrate, and the SAMR model.
3. Demonstrate (about 30 minutes): plan one real week, then take the short quiz.
4. Articulate (about 10 minutes): reflect and choose your next step.

In total, plan on about an hour and 50 minutes. You can spread it across the week, and you can retake the quiz if you need to.

You will get the most from the course with a real week in mind. It can be a week you teach now or one you are planning. It does not need to be live in Canvas, because a plan on paper is enough.
